چکیده

Abstract. On distributed memory electronic computers, the implementation and association of fast parallel matrix multiplication algorithms has yielded astounding results and insights. In this discourse, we use the tools of molecular biology to demonstrate the theoretical encoding of Strassen’s fast matrix multiplication algorithm with DNA based on an n-moduli set in the residue number system, thereby demonstrating the viability of computational mathematics with DNA. As a result, a general scalable implementation of this model in the DNA computing paradigm is presented and can be generalized to the application of all fast matrix multiplication algorithms on a DNA computer. We also discuss the practical capabilities and issues of this scalable implementation. Fast methods of matrix computations with DNA are important because they also allow for the efficient implementation of other algorithms (i.e. inversion, computing determinants, and graph theory) with DNA.

Towards solution of the set-splitting problem on gel-based DNA computing

Adleman wrote the first paper that demonstrated that DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) strands could be applied for dealing with solutions of the NP-complete Hamiltonian path problem (HPP). Lipton wrote the second paper that showed that the Adleman techniques could also be used to solve the NP-complete satisfiability (SAT) problem (the first NP-complete problem). Adleman and his co-authors proposed s...

Solving the set cover problem and the problem of exact cover by 3-sets in the Adleman-Lipton model.

Adleman wrote the first paper in which it is shown that deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) strands could be employed towards calculating solutions to an instance of the NP-complete Hamiltonian path problem (HPP). Lipton also demonstrated that Adleman's techniques could be used to solve the NP-complete satisfiability (SAT) problem (the first NP-complete problem). In this paper, it is proved how the DNA...

Molecular solutions for the Maximum K-colourable Sub graph Problem in Adleman-Lipton model

Adleman [1] showed that deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) strands could be employed towards calculating solutions to an instance of the Hamiltonian path problem (HPP). In this paper, we use Adleman-Lipton model for developing a DNA algorithm to solve Maximum k-colourable Sub graph problem. In spit...

Solving the Rural Postman problem using the Adleman-Lipton model

In this survey we investigate the application of the Adleman-Lipton model on Rural Postman problem, which given an undirected graph G = (V,E) with positive integer lengths on each of its edges and a subset E ′ ⊆ E, asks whether there exists a hamiltonian circuit that includes each edge of E ′ and has total cost (sum of edge lengths) less or equal to a given integer B (we are allowed to use any ...
